06- Install Subversion (TortoiseSVN) on Windows (for Red5)

  1. Go to http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads, scroll down to where it says Download Application then choose your version, 32 bit or 64 bit, and click on the msi file (I chose the 64bit version and that is called TortoiseSVN-1.6.7.18415-x64-svn-1.6.9.msi). Then click on direct link and press Save button to save it to your hard drive.

NOTE: TortoiseSVN is one of many SVN products out there. Someone recommended it to me and told me that it works very well on Windows. There are other SVN products located at http://subversion.tigris.org/ and http://subversion.apache.org/. I really like TortoiseSVN because it is easy to use, and I don't have to use the command prompt to use it.
  2. Double click on the TortoiseSVN-1.6.7.18415-x64-svn-1.6.9.msi file on your computer to install Tortoise SVN. By default it will be installed to C:\Program Files\TortoiseSVN. Then restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
